Well if you want to nitpick then consider this.

I read that Candidates are to be clearly brought into the church at a separate time than catacumens. This is kind of scandalous for those that are baptized already and practicing Christians. To be lumped in with unbaptized persons kind of slaps them in the face. My wife initially felt funny with it. The validly baptized persons already have a foundation that should be recognized. However, “for convenient sake” many parishes prepare them together.
.
this is an abuse and has been discussed on multiple threads on this forum

the rest of your post is off topic

why not stick to your OP, which has been answered, and start a new thread to discuss specific issues about RCIA, the Children’s Catechumenate, sacramental preparation etc.

Gotta say, you leave me speechless. :o I would think everything is off topic with you. 🤷 You seem quite educated here. Is this your normal way of treating people? Or do you always come across agitated at people that don’t always play along with you? I’m sure you mean well, but your last comment comes across simply uncharitable.

BROSFO is not being a know it all, he really does know it all, RCIA has been his profession and apostolate for many years and he is our resident expert.

I strongly urge all catechists involved in sacramental prep at any level, for children, youth or adults, to take whatever seminars or trainings are offered near you in RCIA, because the recent (last 40 yrs) catechetical documents strongly recommend the RCIA as the model for all sacramental initiation, and the way both the rites themselves and the supporting materials catechize for sacraments and liturgy is invaluable. If you can get your parish or diocese to subsidize the training, so much the better, I actually did this out of pocket when I was starting out teaching 2nd grad 1st comm prep, and it is one of the most helpful things I ever took part in.
