I’m not sure what other diocese’ are doing, but for Wheeling-Charleston RCIA candidates will enter the Church tomorrow. My wife, my daughter, and I will receive confirmation and our first Eucharist. We were already baptized (Protestant in Trinitarian formula) so only one of the other candidates will be baptized. I am very excited for tomorrow. For anyone else entering the Church, you have my congratulations and I pray that God continually blesses you as you seek Him. For everyone else, please keep us all in your prayers. Thank you.

I hope you have a lovely bunch of memories at the end of the day!

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless, and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us, and increase your mercy in us,
that in difficult moments, we might not despair nor become despondent,
but with great confidence, submit ourselves to your holy will,
which is love and Mercy itself.
Amen.

Hate to burst your bubble, but about 3,000 did on the first Pentecost (Acts 2:41) 😉

Seriously, though, many congratulations on this uniquely special occasion!

Wonderful day for it, Pentecost.
It will certainly be unique too. How many people have entered the Church on Pentecost throughout history?
Pentecost is a very traditional day on which to enter the Church.

Congratulations! Make sure you take the time to look around and and enjoy your experience. Welcome home.

Our parish brought in the RCIA folks in last night also. Even better we had 3 Confirmation Masses this weekend.

I have been sponsoring a man who attended RCIA; he was the first to be confirmed and receive his First Communion, this last Wednesday. And Saturday, 4 more were baptized and confirmed. I can’t speak for the whole archdiocese, but I suspect we were about all at the same time period (just starting to allow attendance at Mass, limited to 25 maximum). Others will continue over this week or so. We also have some 140 children making their First Communion, and 80 being confirmed, so it is going to be strung out.

@Donald_S Congrats! I also was confirmed and received First Eucharist on Pentecost as well. Blessing to you and your family.
