this is very true and a very common, almost requisite experience. Frustration with RCIA process and the people involved, roadblocks and opposition from family, work conflicts and deadlines threaten to interfere with Holy Week observances, but most of all attacks on your blossoming faith and on your conversion itself. click on over to the spirituality forum and look for threads on spiritual warfare prayers, or just ramp up and be faithful to your daily prayer and especially the penitential practices of Lent. You know, the whole idea of Lent arose for you guys as the penance was intended to defend just against such temptations and to promote and protect your ongoing conversion. Fast and pray, and do something to help somebody else.

Please, please participate in all the Holy Week liturgies, and also Chrism mass if it is possible. They are also a vital integral part of your prepration. Dump all non-essential activities for the duration–travel, social life, entertainment, overtime at work if possible. Try to stay away from really negative people, this is not the time for you to try to evangelize others, get into apologetics arguments, or fight with your family. Your focus should be inward, on your own spiritual condition.
There is much wisdom here. Thank you.

May God’s peace, love and mercy be with you all!

It is with great joy that we welcome all to the holy Catholic Church!

There is this elderly resident in a nursing home that was baptized, confirmed and received holy communion a couple of weeks ago. It’s amazing that no matter how young or how old we are, it is never too late to come home to the holy Catholic Church.

Let us always persevere in our faith, growing closer and in union with Our Good God through the frequent reception of the sacraments of the holy eucharist and confession.

And no matter what, to NEVER give up. How can we give up anyway when the One Whom we are receiving in holy communion is Jesus Himself? Our very own God humbling Himself in the form of bread and wine to personally nourish us with His very own Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity! It doesn’t get any better than that!
Not in this lifetime…

May God bless, keep and protect us all. May Our Blessed Mother, all the angels, saints, poor souls in purgatory protect and pray for us all. May we continuously pray for each other and for all.

Blessed be Jesus and Mary!

God Bless all of you entering the church at Easter Vigil, please
post about your special day! 🙂

Very excited. In three days our godparents/sponsors will arrive, in four days it’s Maundy Thursday and we do our First Sacrament of Reconciliation, then it’s Good Friday, and then…

IT’S EASTER VIGIL!!!

We’re reading the Gospel of John this week, and I’m going to try to get to Mass as close to every day as possible. And as of Saturday I’ll be able to receive.

God is very good.

oooh my bad, no taking pictures during Mass,
perhaps your sponsor would be so kind before or after Mass (posing with Father of course).

My prayers are with all the RCIA people. My wife became Catholic two years ago. We had such a wonderful experience with RCIA and so then we have helped and supported each year since.

God bless each and all! May your journey continue :)

P.S. We would love to hear about your experiences (good or bad). We can all learn from each other.
