Well, since the other parish has never called back with a beginning date for their RCIA class, I phoned another parish called St. Peter in Chains and a lady named Theresa told me their RCIA classes begin in October. They’re sending me a packet of literature.

I’m anxious. Too anxious. 😦 Pray for me folks, I need whatever I can get. 😦

I am glad to hear you found a parish that responded to your request for RCIA. I suggest that you get yourself a copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church or the Compendium to the catechism. The Compendium is a more compact and easier (question and answer format) form of the catechism.

God bless you, George! I just said a prayer for you.

Keep reading, in the meantime… hang out here at Catholic Answers, read the back issues of This Rock, read around in the CA library, participate in the forums.

After two years, I still read the Ask an Apologist forum every day, to get the Real Deal on what the Church teaches. I also subscribe to This Rock. EWTN is also good, and so is their website.

Welcome, welcome, welcome!

Heavenly Mother we humbly ask for your intercession to God our Father, God Your Son and God the Holy Spirit for special graces for George C so he can spiritually benefit at the highest possible level from his journey Home. We ask that this special grace extend to those with him on his journey and that they remain for as long as he is a member of God’s Church. Amen.

Great Cathedral. Good music and liturgy. Should be a good place for you to get into the faith.

Thank you, Nicole. I need them more than you can know.
I just entered the Church on Easter Vigil this year. I’ve been there. Feel free to send me a personal message (just click on my user name) if you need!

congratulations and welcome home, this a great church in which to celebrate the Easter Vigil

Amen and Amen :signofcross: :signofcross:

Glad to hear that!! I had a friend that finished RCIA over St. Bridget’s of Kidare as she converted this Easter Vilgil from a Baptist and she didn’t get baptized at a Baptist Church:)

Well, after a week of playing phone tag, I finally got in contact with Fr. Tim. I’ve got an appointment to meet with him this coming Tuesday.

:extrahappy:
