Contact your local parish and see when their program runs. They will be able to steer you in the right direction. Most programs around the country have just gotten going in the last few weeks. Some programs go all year around and those might not be as good of an option.
I just went through RCIA in that exact parish last year and so did my wife! They have just gotten started in the last few weeks and I know they would be happy to have you join. Contact Kendra at: pilgerin@gmail.com, she is the RCIA coordinator. You are in luck, the process there is very organized and the teaching is absolutely faithful to the Catechism and the Magesterium. The RCIA team is full of wonderful people who really live their faith. We really miss it there and could not have had a better experience.

My dad is a southern baptist pastor and he is not happy at all about my actions. Pray would be very welcome. (and I stole your signature, hope you don’t mind) lol
There is a good deal of anti-catholic sentiment in the area. However, what I can say is that makes the people at St. Mary’s really band together and I believe it makes their Catholic identity that much stronger. In fact, I noticed that throughout the entire diocese. Everyone in JC knows that the people in their parish are all they have and so people really look out for each other.

…thank you to everyone who has asked or answered questions. You all have helped me on my journy. Typically Parishes will allow you start after the program has been going providing that you have not missed any of the major rites, etc. Many programs start in the Fall so they are just getting going but some others go all year around so you may not be able to jump in there. I would check with some local parishes and see what their situation is. Chances are you will find one that will be thrilled to have you.
The best people to talk to will be those who you are going through the process with! I can almost guarantee that there will be someone in similar circumstances as you in your group. In ours, there were several who were making this journey in spite of the wishes of their families and friends. Those people became very close during the year process. And of course, there is always this forum as well.
