I have some candles already blessed a while ago by a priest with a shorter blessing in English (a translation of the older Roman Ritual prayer). I am wondering if it’s wrong to bring them to be blessed at the EF mass again today, given that there is a solemn liturgical prayer and blessing that is very special in this mass, done only once a year. Part of this is me being scrupulous about not knowing if the English translation of the first blessing is really legitimate… but also because these candles are beeswax which is an important part of the symbolism invoked in today’s liturgy in the EF
