This story is at Our Lady's Child | Brothers Grimm
The story of repentance of someone who had been stubborn in her sin.
Typical pf Brothers Grimm stories, it has fantastic things not to be actually believed.

Grimm is an appropriate name for the Brothers Grimm, for their tales are often dark and grim.

I can’t figure why some girl living in Heaven would first of all disobey the Virgin Mary’s direct order, and second of all lie about it repeatedly over the course of years. It’s pretty obvious that Mary is going to know when you’re lying.

The Fairy tales the Grimms wrote down were oral folk tales that had been told and retold over many years.

It’s generally thought that “Christian” elements were overlaid onto even older stories by people who had a poor understanding of theology, sort of a folk-Catholicism.

This is one of the reasons why Catholics got accused of worshipping Mary—because of the veneration (without deep understanding) by peasants and uneducated people.

There have been many changes. Most of the recent ones are ‘cleaned up’ versions for children. Even the ones we are now known to most of us has scenes of rape, incest, and murder by and of most kinds of people.

When I fi st got my hands on an unexpurgated copy, I was shocked. And, I’ve never censored my own reading.

So, original Grimm’s fairy tales…not recommended for children’s bedtime reading!
