yes i do! i do belive that Jesus Christ is the only son of God. don’t you???:ehh:

At one time in my life I would have said yes. At this time in my life, I say no. Who knows what I would say in 10 years.

Yes.

These forums are not designed for yes or no questions. That’s what the polls are for. Is there another question that you would like to ask? Nothing is off limits here (except as defined in the rules). Where are you going with this question?

No. Prophet Jesus is not the son of God. Surah 19: [35] It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, “Be,” and it is.

[116] And behold! Allah will say: “O 'Isa the son of Maryam! didst thou say unto men, ‘Worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah’?” He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, Thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, though I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden.
[117] "Never said I to them aught except what Thou didst command me to say, to wit, ‘Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord’; and I was a witness over them whilst I dwelt amongst them; when thou didst take me up thou wast the Watcher over them, and Thou art a witness to all things.

Genesis

Gen 6:1 When men began to multiply on the face of the ground, and daughters were born to them,

Gen 6:2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were fair; and they took to wife such of them as they chose.

Gen 6:3 Then the LORD said, “My spirit shall not abide in man for ever, for he is flesh, but his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.”

Gen 6:4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown.

Matthew

Mat 5:9 "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

Luke

Luk 20:34 And Jesus said to them, "The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage;

Luk 20:35 but those who are accounted worthy to attain to that age and to the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage,

Luk 20:36 for they cannot die any more, because they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.

Romans

Rom 8:14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Rom 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the spirit of sonship. When we cry, “Abba! Father!”

Rom 8:16 it is the Spirit himself bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God,

Rom 8:17 and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

Rom 8:18 I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

Rom 8:19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God;

Galatians

Gal 3:25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a custodian;

Gal 3:26 for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.

John

Jhn 12:36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light." When Jesus had said this, he departed and hid himself from them.

Oh right - like allah and the koran and mohamad got anything right against original scripture.

Perhaps you might want to introduce yourself first and then read all topics regarding islam and the koran. Plenty of threads for you to browse and then we can discuss concerns and questions.

Welcome to CAF and I for one look forward to your postings.

Yes, I do believe and will always believe that Jesus Christ is the only son of God!🙂

Matthew 3:13-17

Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

John 1:12

But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God;

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God

all true Christians are ‘sons of God’

isn’t it that Jesus is the only begotten Son of the Father whereas Christians are adopted sons?

No, in John chapter three we are all called to be begotten again of the spirit.

Jesus himself is born again from the spirit in this passage of John.

Jhn 20:26 Eight days later, his disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. The doors were shut, but Jesus came and stood among them, and said, “Peace be with you.”

Jhn 20:27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side; do not be faithless, but believing.”

Jhn 20:28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”

Jhn 20:29 Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.”

Jhn 20:30 Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book;

Jhn 20:31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.

Hate to break you the news, but Islam is a false religion and Mohammed is a child-molesting fraud. All who follow this false “prophet” and his false religion are doomed if they do not convert and repent.

hi
I see only-begotten’ in 3:16,18 but with respect to Jesus. In 3:16 & 18 word is ‘monogenh’ and ‘monogenous’ resp. 🤷

plus
Galatians 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons

Well I don’t know much about greek but they both are refering to birth. I believe that one is an adjective form of the same word.

By the way, the Revised Standard Version says ‘the only son of God’, omitting the word begotten. Which means that begotten was inserted by later translators who did not understand what they were translating…
