Reading is great, simply great. I haven’t picked up a book in a long time, so when I started reading “A small dog saved my life” my desire for writing in my exercise book, or journal, had been re-enkindled. A book is a porthole to another world, to a realm of lines that communicate and entertain.
The book is a woman’s story of recovering her life after a failed marriage and her divorce. It s not a tale of vindication, misery or struggle (as one might expect to read)–it is a book about a little Yorkshire terrier and all dogs, who bring love to their owners and who are teachers to us, instructing us to be kinder to animals. The author was not a dog lover as a child which makes the story more relatable to non-dog lovers.
Reading is “chicken soup” for the sensitive soul.
PS: Have you ever read the Bible from cover to cover before?
