In the Extra Ordinary form mass (did I get the term correct?), should the readings follow the latest Missal or the pre-Vatican reading cycle?

Here, we typically abbreviate it as “EF” (extraordinary form), but yes, that is the correct name.

As I understand, the readings are driven by the calendar, which for the EF is the 1962 calendar with some minor adjustments.

Thanks Cor ad Cor. Would that mean that this would be the single year reading cycle instead of the three year reading cycle in the OF? Same for the daily readings?

I don’t get EF in my country but I do try to go for EF mass when overseas. But I also like to prepare for mass by doing the readings in the morning. So whether I can still use my OF missal?

The EF only uses the one-year, as I understand it. I doubt your OF missal will be any help.

I would use the term Extraordinary Form (EF) or Traditional Latin Mass (TLM). EO would generally be taken to mean “Eastern Orthodox”.

I use and prefer the 1962 missal published by Angelus Press. You can find them by using your search engine on the computer. They ship all over the world.

God Bless
