You are aware that they are linked to another website correct? That real Catholic TV is a part of a group that had a good many articles
catholictelevision.org/ the new site has less reading material but it use to have more. In reading over I also listened to there pod casts.
Lots of talk or hell, suffering, most likely going to hell no matter what, be 150% perfect or hell. Heaven being described as sitting in silence and staring at God. The whole Saints thing being someone prays to god, the he (god) will ask you to pray (silently) to god for god to do something. Jesus spoke of hell about 90 times, compared to about 30 times talking about heaven. Reality is what it is. With regard to describing heaven, we would say, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man, what God has prepared for those who love Him.” In other words, you cannot even imagine how wonderful heaven is. I would extend the same logic, in reverse, to hell. We cannot imagine how horrible it is. Reality.
But, on the outside chance that you really did consider yourself Catholic before, why would a Catholic leave when confronted with Catholic teaching? Unless, of course, you really didn’t know what the Church taught, etc., in which case at least now you know you’re outside of the Church.
Love at the point of a gun, or in this case love gained by dangling one over a pit of flame is never true love. Well, if it is at the point of a gun, you’re holding the gun! LOL Like the guy hitting himself on the head with a hammer was asked why he was doing that. He responded, “Because it feels so much better when I stop.” The pit is reality. You choose, by your actions, whether you end up there. Like standing on the edge at the top of a 30 story building. You can either step off into the abyss, or step back into safety. Either case, it’s a choice.
Private revelations, those things really bug me. Use them to prove the faith but if you point out a theological issue (like how they contradict each other) just say “private revelation don’t have to believe it!” It wasn’t used to “prove” faith but to provide something to ponder, if you can. There are no contradictions in Catholic theology. Just misunderstandings by some who are undereducated in the fatih.
