Has anyone else had problems logging on to Real Catholic TV these past two days? Every time I try to do so I get the following error message,

“Safari can’t open the page “emadmin.register.com/suspended.page/” because Safari can’t find the server “emadmin.register.com”.”

I hope the site is only down for routine maintenance, I’d hate to think we’ve lost this fantastic resource for good. Anyone got any inside info on what’s happening?

Yeah, I’ve tried several times today, with no luck. They had a similar problem in the last week or two, too.
 
Thanks Scooby, appreciated, at least I now know it’s not just myself who is having problems. I hope it’s a housekeeping issue rather than hackers or financial problems.

Any further insights?

So sorry for this horrible inconvenience, but it is for a very good reason that the site is down right now.

RealCatholicTV.com (the website, not the organization) is currently experiencing technical difficulties (caused, it must be said, by the popularity of the website) and is currently “down”. We are working dilligently to get it back up and running as quickly as we can.

Thank you so much for your patience, and please say a prayer to the Guardian Angel of the site for a quick resolution - yes, we do have one! 😃

Thank you Liza, that explains everything. I pray and hope you are able to get the site up and running as quickly as possible. I suppose being too popular is better than not being popular enough…good luck!
 
Yep has Liz said they are currently down. They have a facbook page where it was announced when it happened just an FYI

I just got the best news of the week this AM when I read your information regarding RealCatholic TV’s realtechnical problems. Praise God ! I was afraid our present-day “John the Baptist” had been beheaded.

Yes, indeed. This is good news. When I saw that the site was being redirected to a “suspended page” site, I feared the worst.

It is a tremendous blessing to have RealCatholicTV on the Internet, proclaiming the unvarnished Gospel. The first few times I heard Michael Voris, I knew I was listening to someone who was not afraid to speak the truth in love! The work you do is unique (although I wish it were more common!), and mightily appreciated. The RealCatholicTV premium content is fantastic.

I’m looking forward to seeing the site back up! Keep up the wonderful work!

I tried to register on the forum, but it kept saying I had the incorrect Security Question. I typed in the exact letters and don’t understand the problem.

I cannot afford to join, as I take care of a disabled child, so would like to be part of the forum at least. Do you have in suggestions on why I am having trouble registering?

For the security question you have to solve the mathematical problem and enter THAT as your response. 🙂

According to what they posted on facebook, Real Catholic TV is hopeful that they will be back onllne Monday. Am I understanding it correctly, lizaanne?

Yes! That would be my husband making those posts, and since he’s right next to me I can absolutely say that is correct! 😃

The site is moving to new servers and this takes some time. But we will be back!!

Would have been much nicer if a server migration/down time could have been announced before starting it. Steaming that much video you’d think it would be a priority to stay on top of stuff like that.

Would have been much nicer had we known the server was going to fail before it did. Please be aware that there are things that happen that we don’t always have control over.

Are you a premium subscriber?

Ahh, well a server failure is different than “technical difficulties.” Why not just say what it was instead of using that phrase?
