Perhaps you should not presume I am complaining instead of making a suggestion. As it was presented, they were having “technical difficulties,” then mentioned moving servers. That isn’t what usually happens when a server fails, so it sounded to me like this was a planned event, even one that somehow went wrong in the execution. Seen it happen a few dozen times in my line of work. That is why I commented that it would have been nice to have a heads-up that work was being done.
As it turns out, my assessment was wrong and it was dubbed a server failure, and I posted to note that was different than what I had gathered from the pieces of information I had to go on. I don’t use Facebook for security reasons, so there was no way for see the information post noted earlier, only what snippets were quoted or pulled from it.
None of that is a complaint. It was meant as a suggestion to consider when the site is taken off line, that’s all it was. Taken off line, as I pointed out, is different than equipment failing.
Whether I subscribe or no longer do is none of your business and certainly nothing you should be commenting on. Subscription had nothing to do with my comments, I was only politely answering a question asked of me totally apart from the comments.
