oh yes. i cannot forget the reason for building ugly churches was because there was no money for it. but our Lord knows all things. suddenly the money appeared when was to pay others for sins committed in teh Church. no one can deceive God, no one.
Huh???

I am sorry but this post needs to be more literate. Maybe use more words and structure?

Thanks 👍

I agree he is free to conduct his business as he pleases. And I am just as free to opine that it is a bad witness.

See ya!

I hope it was not something I wrote.

Shalom and may God go with you.

Not at all. It’s just silly to butt heads over personal opinions. Neither party wins.
I totally agree. 🙂

I am relaxing now and have no intention of getting my feathers ruffled over a difference of opion. Too busy Watching Rocky IV. LOL

I am glad you are not upset.

Jack, you are a real gentleman and I enjoy your sincerity. While I don’t have Rocky IV on tape or TV to join you, I send you a big bag of snack food. 🍿

So true.

Thank God realcatholictv is using money for good. No shame in that.

I caught your sarcasm. 😉

Surely you are aware that zillions of blogs are on the internet, and none of them charge a fee to view their evangelization efforts. I see no reason for this, particularly when RCTV has products for sale. I can believe that many will be only too happy to buy them.

I agree he is free to conduct his business as he pleases. And I am just as free to opine that it is a bad witness.
Sirach2, do you support this website(CAF)? I doubt it, yet how do you think CAF is able to offer all the great info they do?

If you enjoy & like this site, why not support it with $15, $10 or even $5 a month?

Same goes for RCTV, support them & then you can grip< but not until then!!!

Agree:thumbsup:
Even EWTN a couple weeks ago had their Deacon give an announcement before every show about donating. It cost a lot of money to run any kind of TV studio let alone privide new information almost every day. They are independent of any diocesis and receive no funds from them.

That is hard to believe, since every blog and website tracks the number of views, just as they do here at CAF on every single thread. This is how they determine the hot topics when they send us updates via email. You-tube also records the number of hits.
My speculation that they may be trying to track the number of unique users was apparently incorrect. Here is the explanation for requiring registration to access the free content from the RCTV blog:
We want to be able to send email to those people who are interested in what we do, for promotional purposes.

For general information: the number of views and the number of viewers are not the same. Anonymous web accesses can be identified by the source IP address, which is not a unique identifier (a single individual may have multiple IP addresses and multiple users may have the same IP address). Cookies can also be used, but they have their own limitations (being deleted, multiple cookies for a single user, etc.)

Believing RCTV should offer all their content for free is an opinion; stating they are a bad witness is a judgment of character and/or behavior. You are free to express the former as you wish; if you express the latter without providing a reasonable justification you risk committing calumny.

What does it mean to be a “bad witness”?

How does RCTV providing a portion of their material via paid subscription meet the criteria for being a bad witness?

Does providing a significant amount of material free of charge on a regular basis (multiple times per week), as RCTV does, mitigate the above?

This is turning into a tattle tale thread with our comments being posted on RCTV. Jerry is acting as their lawyer in soliciting feedback from us merely to post it on their website. I’m not participating.

I thought this show was good:

He calls it Hope for the End.

I am just a free subscriber but as our finances settle down (coming off unemployment) I may go to the ‘premium’ subscriber. I already support our local Catholic radio which is imperative and I also support EWTN (which is in great need at the moment too).

I think Mr. Voris is courageous. He says the things loudly that have been only whispered about.

But we cannot be silent in the face of evil; it only allows it to proliferate. If Catholics had stood up for life in 1973 we would not have had 50 million babies surgically killed in the US. There will be consequences. Bible history shows us this WILL happen, it is infallible. And the silence of almost all our shepherds has been deafening. And how many Catholics support “pro-choice”? Well 54% voted to put the present government in place. Not one good thing has been accomplished since. We have no peace; we are still at war and so on. Our tax dollars pay for abortions all over the world. To be silent in the face of the intrinsic evils means the chastisement is going to fall on us first.

And not only with the evil of abortion has our American Chruch been mute about. Yes, a number are speaking up now. But there has been over 40 years of poor or even non or negative catechesis. A weakened Church has allowed the evil to grow. A weakened and uncatechised ‘faithful’ has been deaf to the cries that cry out to God.

And so many still do not want to hear these thiings. Michael Voris says them.

I’ve been listening and watching Voris for a few weeks now. I haven’t been able to find anything he’s off on from a doctrine stand point. His approach/style is definately in your face which is foreign to most folks, but if you just listen to what he says I can’t find where it goes astray from Catholic teaching. Honestly I’d like to hear more of this coming from the priests.

If someone has some examples of where he is out of bounds from a doctrinal stand point from either his One Truth Faith show or the Vortex I’d like to hear it. His One True Faith show can be listened to on MP3. If you have iTunes you can get them at theonetruefaith.tv/podcast/totf.xml I’m currently finishing up season 3.

I disagree. I don’t think Voris’s style is “in your face”. I do believe that he exudes a certain righteous anger in some of his videos. Jesus displayed holy anger when He turned over the tables in the temple area. We should be upset, angered by some of the things going on in the church. And Voris does not hold back that righteous anger in the Vortex videos.

I know you can sign up for a free account but you must enter a vaild email address. How do we know that they are not selling their colllected email lists to spammers?

This is why I do not sign up for free accounts that require an email address.
