Reality tv with Gossip

I am really enjoying a reality tv show but there is gossip in it and I wouldn’t really be able to keep up unless you hear it, I’m i sinning by simply watching it? I see it like a story line but technically it is reality tv

It’s scripted.

You are sinning in watching that no more than you are sinning in watching Shakespeare’s Macbeth.

One may be far more edifying than the other, but that’s of little consequence in this matter.

Thanks for the reply butTo be honest I don’t think it is scripted so if it’s not scripted does that mean I shouldn’t watch it?

If it’s on TV, unless it’s a nature documentary or a sports game(and even that can be doubtful- but that’s beside the point) one can make the assumption that it’s scripted. Simple as that.

Michael, i think you really need a spiritual director. He will be able to guide you in questions of whether or not things are sin. Please don’t rely on the advice of strangers on the internet.

Micheal, it’s just mindless TV buddy. If you don’t feel right about watching something you don’t have to watch it. If it takes you mind off life for awhile there is no harm in watching it once in a while. Have you checked out Catholic.com or listen to Catholic radio? They answer questions like this all the time.
