So I just came back from my 2nd confession ever. I was really dreading it, it had been a month and I had some heavy sins to confess.
I was nervous and praying the entire long wait and on my way in. I kneeled down, said my bit, and the priest offers me absolution without comment and gives me one Hail Mary.
On one hand I wonder if it was too easy given how many sins I’ve committed. On the other hand I’m still deliriously happy to be absolved and wonder if it’s not a message from God that I shouldn’t be so afraid of confession.
At least I got on my knees in the church and made sure I really prayed that Hail Mary to my fullest.
My first confession was a week after my baptism. I set up an appointment to do it and the priest. He and I talked for a long time and I was a little taken aback at his emotional reaction to my sins. He gave me a full rosary, Luke chp. 15, and some time with the blessed sacrament.
