Really like this one but others?

As a new person I dont know much about Catholic music.
I have to admit at this point I miss the music of the prodestant church because it was easier to sing along to. I didnt feel like I was trying to sing opera lol.
I really liked one of the songs today however:
**They Will Know We Are Christians by our Love **
I found the lyrics wonderful!

I stilll sing songs at home like “He touched me” or “If I could but touch the hem of his garment”

Is that ok and are there easier songs to sing that are used durring Mass?
I always considered singing as a form of worship and do miss it.
Perhaps this is something I will outgrow?
A little confused…

Singing hymns is indeed a way of worshiping God.
As you begin to know the hymns sung at Mass and are able to freely sing them with the congregation, you will perhaps overcome any sense of loss.
There is no reason why you shouldn’t sing familiar hymns of praise of God at home.

One more quick question on music worship if you dont mind.

I undersand that the Mass is to be reverant.
Are there other times that I am missing where that type of worship is used ie bible study?

I understand the whole converting thing I’m converting myself. You’ll actually be happy to know that songs like what you would hear on the radio aresu g by Catholics. When I went to Youth 2000, a retreat for Catholic teens, I was really happy when we sang songs like God of Wonders, All in All, and I lift your name on high. For traditional music another song that’s really good is Here I am Lord. I know some Protestant songs aren’t suitable but popular songs on the radio are mostly acceptable. Hope this helps.
