Reasons to send child to Catholic Pre-School

Actually, America is behind many other countries with regards to education. I’m glad we’re starting to step it up a bit.

The European country with the best results in public education is Finland. THey begin school at 7, and only go half days for a number of years.

Earlier is not more effective if it is not developmentally appropriate - it tends to cause problems.

As an educator, I disagree. You have to keep in mind that In the younger grades, teachers make learning fun and not work. (At least the good teachers.) Surely people can’t feel that is inappropriate. And they learn their letters, sounds, numbers, etc. I teach preschool. It is only 2 1/2 hours a day, and it has a huge academic focus. The great thing is, though, that the kids are so busy having fun, they don’t even realize they are learning!
