Okay, so these are my reasons for why I want to enter religious life:
1: Ever since I was 12, the thought that this is the will of God has been in my heart.
2: I want to love the Lord Jesus Christ above all others.
3: I love Jesus already very much.
4: Jesus loves me like no other man on earth ever could.
5: I want to repay Him for all the love He has for me.
6: Many signs indicating that it’s God’s will.
7: I love the Catholic church in all its rituals and beliefs.
8: I want to marry the one I love the most: Our Lord.
9: I feel really “at home” with sisters (particularly the Sister Servants of the Most Sacred Heart ^^)
10: God has shown me His Love for me and let me fall in love with Him; it would be so difficult to fall in love with anyone else after seeing how much God loves me and how little anyone else could love me compared to Him.
11: I want to live at the foot of the cross for all eternity.
12: I want to comfort our Lord in His Suffering and love Him alone as He so loves me.
13: His Most Sacred Heart is so lovely.
14: He is so beautiful.
15: I feel like the only way to salvation for my soul is the deepest union possible with Christ; I want to cling to Him and unite myself to Him in the greatest way so that we might never be separated.

Just a few reasons ^^. I guess my main question is do these sound like signs of a true vocation or just a reoccuring dream? Does this sound like a young girl in “spiritual wonderfulness” or a future nun?

I think being in “spiritual wonderfulness” is a great state of being for a future nun.
it is:D. but what i mean is just a temporary state. Like just a crush instead of true love. Sorry for any confusion 😛

If you are in the process of discerning your vocation (and are at least 16, I think), there are some places that will allow you to make temporary vows for a year or so to see it is a good match for you. Then you might be better able to find out whether this is a recurring dream or a real possibility. 🙂

I was not confused and knew what you meant and my answer is the same. **anodos **is wise

Like all the other young women, you take it one step at a time and see what happens. “True love” is about the joy of sacrificing self for another. You might find your crush deepens into that over time. If it doesn’t and you find you are called elsewhere, you will still have a cherished time of formation in the Lord that will benefit you and those around you forever. You have nothing to fear.

Saying a prayer for your discernment. I’m discerning, too!

God bless!
Sarah

Go for it. Try a retreat first. Then a short visit living with the nuns. It will take a few years of novitiate before taking vows, anyway. You’ll have a lot of time to make up your mind and be certain before you take final vows.

aah now i understand what you meant!!! thanks for clearing that up ^^.

Candidates have to be at least 18 before entering temporary vows, given that novitiate cannot begin until you are at least 17, and must last for at least a full canonical year; and it’s only after novitiate that vows are taken. See canon 643 of the 1983 Code of Canon Law at vatican.va/archive/ENG1104/__P24.HTM

Add to this that many (most) religious institutes in the western world will not consider applications until people are at least 17-18 (and often older), and given that applications and accompaniment whilst discerning may take a year or two, and it becomes apparent that entry at so early an age isn’t practical.

Contacting communities and asking what kind of support can be offered from an earlier age might be a good place to start, however! Prayers and best wishes to all.
