Zechariah Prophesy on the Church …
2:6-12 Ho! ho! Flee from the land of the north [Roman Empire], says the Lord; for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heavens [Jewish diaspora], says the Lord. Ho! Escape to Zion [Christian Church], you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon[Jerusalem]. For thus said the Lord of hosts, after his glory sent me to the nations who plundered you, for he who touches you touches the apple of my eye. “Behold, I will shake my hand over them, and they shall become plunder for those who served them. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts [Father God] has sent me [Messiah]. Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion; for lo, I come and I will dwell in the midst of you, says the Lord. And many nations shall join themselves to the Lord in that day [Church Universal], and shall be my people; and I will dwell in the midst of you [in the Tabernacle], and you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you. And the Lord will inherit Judah [the faithful Israel] as his portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem.”
3:1-9 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest [Peter, as Pope] standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, O Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem [Church] rebuke you! Is not this a brand plucked from the fire [fire of H.S.]?” Now Joshua was standing before the angel, clothed with filthy garments. And the angel said to those who were standing before him, “Remove the filthy garments from him.” And to him he said, “Behold, I have taken your iniquity away from you [baptism], and I will clothe you with rich apparel [H.S & righteousness].” And I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with garments; and the angel of the Lord was standing by. And the angel of the Lord enjoined Joshua. “Thus says the Lord of hosts: If you will walk in my ways and keep my charge, then you shall rule my house and have charge of my courts [rule the Church], and I will give you the right of access among those who are standing here. Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your friends [Apostles/Disciples] who sit before you, for they are men of good omen: behold, I will bring my servant the Branch [Christ]. For behold, upon the stone [Christ & Church] which I have set before Joshua, upon a single stone with seven facets, I will engrave its inscription, says the Lord of hosts, and I will remove the guilt of this land in a single day [Day of the Cross].”
6:11-15 Take from them silver and gold, and make a crown, and set it upon the head of Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and say to him, 'Thus says the Lord of hosts, “Behold, the man [Pope Peter] whose name is the Branch [Named the Rock, by Christ] ; for he shall grow up in his place [in the person/place of Christ], and he shall build the temple[Church] of the LORD, and shall bear royal honor, and shall sit and rule upon his throne [Throne of Peter in the Vatican], and peaceful understanding shall be between them both.”
9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion ! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem ! Lo, your King comes to you; triumphant and victorious is he, humble and riding on an ***, on a colt the foal of an ***.
9:11 As for you also, because of the blood of my covenant [Blood of Calvary] with you, I will set your captive free from the waterless pit.[Hades]
11:7-17 So I became the shepherd of the flock doomed to be slain for those who trafficked in the sheep. And I took two staffs; and I named GRACE, and the other UNION. And I tended the sheep. … And they weighed out as my wages thirty shekels of silver and cast them into the treasury in the house of the Lord. … Woe to my worthless shepherd [Judas priests], who deserts the flock !
13:1-3 "On that day there shall be a fountain opened [Baptism] for the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to cleanse them from sin and uncleanness. … and also I will remove from the land the prophets [John’s vision may not be prophetic of future, but of what has ALREADY happened ] and unclean spirit [satan is bound].
13:8-9 In the whole land, says the Lord, two thirds shall be cut off and perish [destruction of Jerusalem 70 AD], and one third shall be left alive. And I will put this third [Christians] into the fire, and refine them as gold is tested.
