You should assume that the practice in your parish is in accord with the Bishop. It is the priest’s job to know the liturgical norms for the diocese. There may be no specific ruling from the Bishop on this matter, in which case the parish priest would have discretion.
If you are in England or Wales then the bishops have approved the practice.
