Hello,

no, why would you think so? you may receive communion twice on one day if the second reception is in the context of a full Mass you attend. You may even receive a third time should you need viaticum later in the day.Hello,

and why would you ever be concerned about what bystanders think about you doing a pious, worthy permissible act? or about you not receiving on any given day? why is that even an issue?

It is no lack of restraint to receive Holy Communion twice in the same day. Thanks for your answersI know and I feel let down by myself that didn’t choose not to receive the second time. Even though it wasn’t sinful it shows a lack of restraint. My reasons were:
- I thought it was OK because I definitely had not eaten within an hour beforehand.
- There were many non-Catholics at the second mass and the priest said for them not to receive and I didn’t want anyone to confuse me for one of them.
You fail to understand my posts, you clearly don’t have a clue what my thinking is. Is English your first language? I meant self-restraint, not being restrained by others.lack of restraint?
I completely fail to understand your thinking.
YOu actually think you have to be restrained from receiving communion? Why on earth? I am concerned at what someone may be telling you that brings up these wrong ideas and causes you needless concern.
If a person is uncertain whether it’s proper to receive communion for a third or fourth time in a single day, he should exercise self-restraint and not receive. Later he can find out that his action was prudent, since it’s not permitted to receive more than twice.YOu actually think you have to be restrained from receiving communion? Why on earth?
