Receiving Eucharist more than once in a day?

Can a faithful Catholic in good standing receive the Eucharist more than once a day? If so, what are the appropriate parameters in doing so? How many times can one receive in a days time? Thank you.

You may receive the Eucharist for a second time on any day provided you attend the Mass at which you are receiving for the second time.

You may not receive the Eucharist for a second time in a day outside of Mass with the exception as Viaticum.

I would interpret “one day” differently from “a day’s time” in this situation, in that the latter could mean e.g. 24 hours from 11am Saturday to 11am Sunday. Since the canon law rule described by DCNBILL uses the canon law definition of “day” as 24 hours from midnight to midnight, one could in theory receive four times in “a day’s time,” say at 11am and 7pm Saturday, 8am and 10am Sunday.

On top of that, one could receive viaticum.
 
DcnBill is correct. Here are the relevant portions of Canon Law:

Can. 917 A person who has already received the Most Holy Eucharist can receive it a second time on the same day only within the eucharistic celebration in which the person participates, without prejudice to the prescript of can. 921, §2.

Can. 921 §2. Even if they have been nourished by holy communion on the same day, however, those in danger of death are strongly urged to receive communion again.

So if you were in danger of death, you could receive Communion again even outside the context of Mass.
