Also, I guess I’m lucky because my parish does have alter servers with communion plates.
An abuse I often notice is people in the communion line chewing gum. This isn’t just teenageers although they’re the majority but also men. And I do try not to look up at people so it’s not like I’m watching the whole church in line and just happen to see one. I’m only occasionally glancing back to see where the line is behind my pew and so often a see a chewing mouth!
