As far as I know, receiving the sacrament of the Eucharist at least during the Easter season is a mandatory precept. I have not been able to go to Confession since last year because of reasons beyond my control, yet I will try to do everything I can to attend at least once this year.

My question is, despite the fact that I hadn’t been able to go to Confession, if we are obligated to receive the Eucharist, has been a specific Mass designated to do so? I mean, should I fulfill the precept during the Easter Vigil? Or is it referring to any Mass during Easter? I haven’t been in this situation before so I don’t know how to proceed in this case.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to read and answering my question. God bless you all.

The precept refers to the Easter season, which is until Pentecost. Go to confession as soon as possible, you will have ample opportunity in the next six or seven weeks.

If you’re in the US, you can fulfill this obligation until Trinity Sunday. That’s ample time, but if there are truly circumstances beyond your control, then that’s it - beyond your control.
