My problem with this isn’t that I don’t want to say it, but rather that it’s hard to say it at that time. After receiving the Eucharist, it takes me a little while to swallow because it’s dry. Since I get in line for the Precious Blood right after that, there isn’t much time to consume it before I have to respond when the Eucharistic Minister says “The Blood of Christ.”
What can I do? I don’t want to answer “Amen” because my mouth is still full of the Consecrated Bread, and speaking with your mouth full is not only disrespectful, but worse, particles of the Host might fall out. I suppose I could just nod in agreement instead of saying “Amen,” but I know the rules don’t call for that. People might construe it as me being disrespectful to the Eucharist.
It’s a little nasty to have to address this issue, but since the Eucharist is the most important thing we have, I need to figure out a reverent way to deal with this. What is a good way to deal with this? Also, if you receive the Precious Blood too, what do you do to avoid this problem?

). That ought to contain things sufficiently.
