Recently I was talking to a friend. She revealed that she did awful things during her time working in the intelligence community as a part of her job. I’m not going to reveal details but let’s just say it was some pretty morally questionable stuff. However, she revealed that to me as part of her life story when she talked about who she was before she completely reverted and conformed to the Church’s teachings. Seeing a glimpse of what she was like then vs. what she is like now has increased my love for her and God because I can see what he has done in her life and I am expecting him to do even more. She also has shown a remarkable trust in the Lord in recent days. I’ll add that this was a heavy thing for her to disclose to me, and I know that the grace of God was the only thing that enabled me to embrace it.
What are your experiences with grace in the lives of your loved ones? Has grace in a loved one’s life ever inspired you to a deeper faith?
