Are there standard recessional hymns for the TLM?

In my parish the chorus follows a “local tradition” in using a hymn in vernacular for after the Mass.

The priest told me that “Leo XIII prayers” are only for the low Mass.

The church has set aside categories of hymns for each of the liturgical seasons. It is my understanding that the choir director, with the priests approval, will select the appropriate hymns for each Mass. Today we used “Come, ye faithful, raise the strain”, sung in English.

That’s exactly what our FSSP priest used tonight.

Back in the golden 1950’s, I recall Mass frequently ending with “Holy God We Praise Thy Name.”

In my experience, traditionally, the Recessional hymn is appropriate to the liturgical season. For the 4th Sunday after Easter, our choir director chose “The Strife Is O’er”. In May, it will typically be a Marian hymn. In June, perhaps hymns of the Sacred Heart.
