I had my first Confession today before Confirmation and First Eucharist tommorrow. That was one of the best experiences in my life!!! I was SO worried going in! But when i got in my pastor was there with open arms. He told me just to start and tell him how long it had been since I was Baptized. 16 years ago!!! So I started and told him everything and shed a few tears. But when I was I was done I looked at him and he had tears in his eyes and he told me he loved me. It feels SO good to have all that off my mind and in God’s hands!! That was more perfect than I could have imagined!!! Praise God!!!

Luke 15:7-’‘I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.’’
CONGRATULATIONS!!!Have a GREAT time serving the Lord!!!The angels are rejoicing over you!!Well done!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: God bless and may you be filled up with the Holy Spirit!

Congraddylations!

Don’t be a stranger to confession now! Try to go at least once a month (somewhere around First Friday/Saturday of the month is good). Once a fortnight is better - you’re less likely to forget things and it’s good for those pesky habitual sins, even the ones that aren’t so serious.

Congratulations! Thank you for sharing your faith with us.

Confession helps us so much.

Praise the Lord.

Wonderful news! You will grow to love the sacrament. Go often.

Many overlook that by confessing sins, we get the additional graces to help prevent sinning in the future. Confession makes you stronger!

Ain’t it GREAT! As a Convert, coming into the Church, I will remember that day forever as a landmark and perhaps the BEST day of my life.

Whenever a hostile anti-Catholic carps about Confession, I just give 'em a million kilowatt smile and say: Are you KIDDING? It’s one of the best things about being CATHOLIC!

Congratulations!! I absolutely LOVE confession. It’s hard having to get in the line and admitting to the priest that you haven’t been the best you can be, but once you hear the words of absolution…it’s one of the best experiences ever to know that God has forgiven you and given you another chance. Once again, congratulations and welcome home!!

Thank you for sharing your joy with us ukdal1. It reminds me to more fervently seek the graces of this healing sacrament. May you continue to know how the Spirit guides us all and may you continue to rejoice at the Eucharistic celebration.

Thanks for sharing that! I love Confession.

I recently returned to the Catholic Church. And Confession, of course, was where I started… well, aside from attending Mass one day and definitively hearing God call me back to the Church. Confession was wonderful. I intend to make it a regular part of my life.

So thanks for sharing. You just reaffirmed my own experience. And it’s good to know how strongly others experience the grace of this sacrament.

That is awesome!:extrahappy:  I LOVE hearing things like this - it helps me in my own journey and I have tears (good ones) in my eyes as I read your post! God Bless you and your priest. 🙂

I recieved Confirmation and First Eucharist today!!! I am SOOOO happy!!! There was 5 of us that were brought in today, and it was the best experience in my life!!! I was very nervous because we had to sit up front and go up and say all the things that are in the Rite.😊 But we all made it through it. When we came up for the Eucharist I was so nervous. I felt so unworthy but grateful for recieving His Body and Blood. I really can’t put into words how much it meant to me. PRAISE GOD!!!😃

:bounce: :extrahappy:
