Reclaiming traditions after Vatican II?

like the other poster said about the choir being up front on the side of the Sanctuary. our parish is going through some transformation after this year is over. the ceilings are going to be lower and the choir is going to moved from the back to the front on the side of the Sanctuary. it just doesnt feel right to me but they say we are going back to what once was before VII. i just dont know. is it right what they are doing to the Church? someone who knows please tell me. it is a franciscan church although i dont like the hymns it is very secular to me it is the best i could find in my area.

What does this remodelling and other revisions in a Latin church have to do with the Eastern Churches reclaiming traditions?

In monastic churches, including Franciscan friaries, there usually was a choir divided into TWO sides between the altar and nave, but something tells me this is not what you are describing.
