Recommendation for good Catholic Study Bible?

Everyone is different. I use the 3 prong approach for my Bible studies.

For the NT, by far and away the best study bible I have ever seen, let alone used, is the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible. Words can not express how this set of books is helping me. Here’s a link:

You can buy them individually or in a set. The set is missing the Book of Revelations, but that’s okay. One of the commentators for the ICSB is Scott Hahn, who wrote the most incredible study of Revelations ever, so you’ll need “The Lamb’s Supper” by Scott Hahn for study of that book

So, between the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible and The Lamb’s Supper, you have the New Testament covered in a marvelous fashion.

The third part of my Catholic Bible study, 3 prong approach is the a study for the Old Testament. I prefer the Catholic Study Bible, (Second Edition)

When I’m using the Ignatius series to study the NT, I also keep this Bible handy to go to the numerous references in the commentaries to the OT.

Finally, with my ICSB, my Lamb’s Supper and my Catholic Study Bible, 2nd edition, I also keep a copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church handy too, as all of the rest of these materials also reference passage in the CCC as well:

And last but not least, I am preparing to buy the Compendium to the CCC which is supposed to be just marvelous in opening up the wonders of the CCC. I don’t have it yet, so I can’t review that one.
