Recommendations for current OF Missal

Can anyone please recommend a current OF Missal for use in USA?

I don’t want a super-expensive one, but would like something more durable and more sequential than the pew missals or other “monthly” paper magazines like Magnificat etc.
Ideally I would like something with ALL the daily readings and prayers in it instead of just Sundays or certain days.
I would prefer a physical book to an app, partly because one parish I regularly attend for OF Mass has very poor Wifi and mobile network reception and it is almost impossible to get an app to run in there.

Photographs or product links appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I have this same one in the Bonded Leather in Brown and it’s excellent! Has TONS of things in the back which I use quite frequently now that I have them. Has reflections for before a Confession, how to make a Confession, prayers before and after Mass, reflections on the mysteries of the Holy Rosary, has the Stations of the Cross, “How to be a Better Catholic”, etc. etc., etc. (endless things). I highly recommend it!
Side note: when I went to the Mass for the Baptism of Our Lord, they were using brushes instead of the sprinkler, and I, along with my Missal, got SOAKED. So now the pages for the Introductory Rites are crinkly and loud when turning the pages. 😦 The only thing I don’t like is the placement of the prayers during Mass (entrance antiphon, collect, prayer over the offerings, prayer after receiving the Eucharist, etc.) is placed before the readings for the week only once, but this is just a “pet peeve” until I get used to the setup for Ordinary Time.

I have the MTF Daily Missal and I cannot recommend it enough. It has everything and more. I have the leather version, but the hardcover is a little cheaper if you don’t want to spend as much.

I don’t have much experience with the St. Joseph Missal, but it’s in three volumes. Which can be a plus or minus, depending how you look at it. You don’t have everything in one book, but each volume is a little more slim and portable.

There’s a third one that I know of- the St. Paul Daily Missal. It’s in one volume, like the MTF Missal, but I’m not sure how different it is. The MTF Missal has a lot of Latin resources that I think the St. Paul Missal lacks.

Those are the three English Missals that I know of.

@Tis_Bearself: If you PM me, I would be happy to send you some pictures of some pages from my Missal, if that’d be helpful for you.

after recently asking the same question and receiving some good advice, the MTF missal is the one that I ended up with. It’s well worth the money and will serve your purpose well.

Hello, @Tis_Bearself:

As you live in the United States, the Daily Roman Missal is most likely the best option.

If you are interested, I use the Catholic Truth Society (People’s Edition) Daily Missal. It is intended for use in the United Kingdom and Ireland. I use it because it uses the same bible translation as we (mostly) use in New Zealand (the New Jerusalem Bible). The missal is very heavy and thick but is extremely comprehensive. I must say it seems a lot thicker than the Midwest Theological Forums’s DRM. Here is a link for the CTS Missal: Daily Missal : Catholic Truth Society : 9781860827402.

Nonetheless, the DRM seems to be the best option for Americans, although this review (REVIEW: CTS DAILY MISSAL – People’s Edition | Catholic News Live) states that the CTS Missal could be used in the US, with the differences in scripture translation being considered.

May the Lord be with you,
Catholic03

I have this set (though mine are not in zippered pouches):

The reason I like them (very much) is because they are handy in size. Fits in most of my purses and is easy to handle. They have all the daily readings and antiphons and prayers and extra prayers.

I do also have the Daily Roman Missal that others have mentioned and it is very good, like it also and I do use it at times, usually during the week. It is larger and heavier than the St. Joseph ones, which makes it a drawback for me. It is a little harder to handle, and I am afraid of dropping it.

You’ve received good recommendations for physical books. In the meantime, if you use iBreviary it allows you to download the day’s readings, so they are accessible whether or not you have an internet connection. You can even download a week at a time if you have the space.
