My husband’s birthday is coming up in January. The cordless electric shaver he has right now is from the early 90s and is nearing the end of its useful days, so I’d like to replace it for him.

The Musts:

· a beard and eyebrow trimmer/thinner;
· a trimmer/shaver for small spaces like the ear (inside and out), the nose (inside and out), and the tops of his cheeks (he sports a full beard);
· cordless.

I’d like to have something water- or shower-proof, if possible. The one he’s got now isn’t, and when he’s finished manscaping there are bristles all over the vanity, sink, soap dish, etc. It’d be so nice for him to be able to just hose all that down the shower drain.

Also, I don’t mind paying a little more (150 or so USD) for a quality product that will last him a least as long as his current shaver has.

Any product recommendations? :tiphat:

I have a Remington pg360 with said attachments. It is only about $30. Pros-Cost, Titanium blade stays sharp. Has all attachments. Cons- must stay on charger or dies sitting, cheap base that falls over easily, spilling attachments everywhere

I’ll narrow my search for device with a titanium blade. I’d never have thought of that on my own. Thank you! :tiphat:

Yep, I know you are looking for something nice, so I hope this helps narrow it down. Remember a good strong base. Samson

When doing this kind of search, I love Amazon - you can look for what you want, read customer reviews - and they have a fantastic return policy.

I’ve used the same Norelco for years and it works great. The blades are steel, but I’ve never sharpened them and it still shaves well. It holds a charge pretty well, I’m sure I’ve gotten several full shaves out of it without plugging it in, but I can’t recall the maximum I’ve gotten on a charge because I usually plug it in after one shave. I think mine is most similar to their current 7310XL ($54), but they have a range of models from $39 all the way to $379.

Thanks. I’m checking out Amazon as well as Epinions this week.
