Recommendations similar to Palestrina

Hi all,

I was watching a Peter Kreeft video on Youtube and he mentioned Palestrina. I promptly looked him up and have been listening in awe for the past half an hour or so. I was wondering if somebody can recommend any music similar to this? I’m not really familiar at all with this sort of music so any help would be appreciated . This is what I have been listening to in particular.

It is a true scandal that you are a Catholic and have never heard of Palestrina. We have been robbed of our birthright. Praise God that we are starting to reclaim it.

Other great Renaissance composers are Josquin des Prez, Orlando di Lasso, William Byrd, Thomas Tallis, and Tomas Luis de Victoria. There are many more, but those five should keep you busy for many more hours on YouTube.

And after you listen to the Renaissance Masters, there is also more modern sacred polyphony, like Gabriel Faure, Francis Poulenc, Lorenzo Perosi, Maurice Durufle, Eric Whitacre, Kevin Allen, James McMillan etc.
