My priest told me today at confession to focus on the lives of the saints. I don’t really know too much about them. Not much at all really. I wasn’t able to post in the CA Book Club forum for some reason so I’m asking here. Does anyone have any good suggestions, ideally for something I can download on my kindle? I was just looking at “saints behaving badly”, it seems interesting b/c it talks about their life before their conversion as well as after and seems to add that human element to them.

Louis de Wohl has written some interesting books about various saints.

Also, if you’re able to get podcasts, check out Saintcast , a radio program that features the lives of saints.

Hi,
I recommend “He liked Tuesdays best” by Brygida Grysiak.
I think this could be interesting story because is wrote by his best friend and long associate Archbishop Mieczysław Mokrzycki with journalist Brygida Grysiak.
The book speaks about an ordinary day of John Paul II in the Vatican, and why he liked Tuesdays…
