A labyrinth is a labyrinth. Many are located on the grounds of Catholic churches while others are located at non-Catholic churches or at other locations. While there’s no “official” design, many labyrinths are modeled on the one at Chartres Cathedral. http://www.labyrinthos.net/_wp_generated/wpe4a57040_05_00.jpg
People have a variety of opinions about labyrinths. Any tool can be used or misused, depending on the individual. Personally I find walking a labyrinth to be very peaceful and conducive to prayer. The nicest one near me is located at an Episcopalian church. I appreciate their hospitality in making it available to the community.
