Lucky them:
Since we are all sinners, we all need to experience God’s loving forgiveness. On the Monday of Holy Week, April 2nd, Reconciliation Monday will be celebrated in the Archdiocese of New York and the Dioceses of Brooklyn and Rockville Center. All the parishes will have confessions from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Yes, I’ve since heard of other dioceses doing it also. I believe we have Cardinal Wuerl to thanks for this wonderful practice!
 
We have been doing it in our diocese for years on the Monday of Holy Week.

lol…yes, that is correct. I guess it can be confusing to those who don’t live in NY–Bklyn is a common abreviation of Brooklyn. You can even put Bklyn, NY on a piece of mail and it will get here!

I was very pleased that the lector, after the prayers of the faithful, as well as the priest at the end of Mass this morning, reminded everyone that confessions will be available in parishes throughout the Diocese tomorrow from 3pm–9pm.

A man who has his priorities straight, and who (I believe) must be listening to his flock. Pastors and bishops who are listening are hearing that Catholics want more confession opportunities in general (including, not limited to, Holy Week).
