The answer to the question “Can you reconcile Church teaching with being pro-choice” the anser is no. How is that for answering the question again. Of course I know you are happier adressing your personal opinion on the politics of abortion and Zamboni relies more on the soundtracks from B movies than he does the cathecism of the Catholic Church but that doesnt change what is a very simple answer.
Your dodging.

When the thread adresses the Movie “Billie Jack” you know we have moved into the realm of the absurd.
I didn’t click on the link but I believe the song is from one of those Billy Jack movies. I’m sure of it. I saw one of those once.

It is definitely bizarre.

What exactly is your point in bringing this all out now? There is only one God and there is only one Army of God. Yes, that is the Army that I belong to. I am a soldier for God and I will never give up my shield or my sword. I love God - I love God the Father; I love God the Son; I love God the Holy Spirit. If you held a gun to my head I would state the exact same thing. It is who I am.

I have answered your question.
Now will you please answer the questions I have asked you?
I dont know how old you are but back when I was in grade schoool we used to sing a song that started"

“An army of youth bearing the standards of truth we are fighing for Christ our Lord. Heads lifted high Catholic Action our cry and the cross our only sword.”

I am sure that for Zamboni that means I am stalking abortion Doctors-but then once one reconciles supporting the killing of the unborn they tend to come up with all sorts of biizzare ideas.

Your answer at #686 only addresses whether you approve of murdering abortion providers or not, whereas my question asked do you belong to THE Army of God or is it another God army that you belong to? As for misrepresenting my words once again, permit me to just quote the song you say you already know well, which says,

“go ahead and cheat a neighbour
go ahead and cheat a friend
do it in the name of heaven
you can justify it in the end…”
I have answered your question. There is only one God. I am a member of the Army of God. I love God the Father; I love God the Son; I love God the Holy Spirit. If you held a gun to my head I would state the exact same thing.

You seem to initiate an awful lot of argument without following up for a second round on any single question and without worrying one wit about substantiating anything you say of yourself or me. I am looking for more than name calling from someone who is supposed to be a CPA, which is considered a professional of a sort, in some circles, last I checked.

Well, let’s say I am old enough to have seen a Billy Jack Movie at a drive-in theater. 😉

I don’t think zamboni believes that I am prolife. Weird. I have never been anything but!!

We have quoted Bishops, the Pope and the cathecism-you have responed with some rather bizarrre personal interpreations of a couple of pargraphs from the cathecism and the soundtrack from a movie that really moved me when I was 16 but now embarasses me to think about how really bad it really was.

For anyone who knows even a smidgen of catholic doctrine they know there is absolutely no way that one can reconcile Church teachings with being pro-choice.

First of the “karate” movies IIRC.

The song I excerpted was the official song of the CYO-Catholic Youth Organization. Whern I was in high Schoolthey used to sposnor some really neat mixers.

Since the OP is seconding his own motion to copp out, why should I not be willing to continue with you, Caramel? Actually, there is one question in particular that I have been meaning to ask you.

I think you identify yourself as being a member of the Army of God. May I ask if you are you a member of the same Army of God that apparently condones the murder of abortion doctors?

As reported here: thestar.blogs.com/broadsides/2009/11/market-values.html#comments

Army of God official website found here: armyofgod.com/
I would like to point something out to you, zamboni. You accuse the OP of copping out by not answering your questions. But you do the same to me. So I must assume, logically, that you believe that not answering questions is OK. I would ask you if you only thought it was OK for you to not answer questions, but then you probably wouldn’t answer that question, either. Which, in a way, is an answer in itself.

Then why the delay/denial on answering the questioned posed by this poster?

I remember the CYO!! My Mom would take me to their summer day-camp program. I liked it very much!! Wow, I had forgotten all about that!! It brings back some nice memories…

🙂

Ive answered the question over a dozen times. The answer , again, is you cant reconcile being pro-choice with the teachings of the Church.

The only unanswered questions of yours that I know of are:
What are you talking about? I’m not trying to put words in your mouth… How is this putting words in your mouth?
I think any objective observer can see that you have done almost nothing but put words in my mouth in what appears to have been an effort to get ahead of what I’m actually saying in order to object to something that might even sound reasonably objectionable… if I were actually saying it. Your posts are littered with self-evident examples of this problem. You also tried to have me explain my terms of reference into oblivion, which, as you will remember, I drew a line at the point when you actually asked me to prove that OJ Simpson is a few bricks short of a full load.

Meanwhile, you are still fudging your own words about whether you are associated in any way with the Army of God at the website to which I provided a link. Specific identification in search of a specific answer. Will you now offer a fudgeless, straightforward, honest answer to my question?

Okay, we assume then that you support a one-party system for America and the Church requires one to do so in order to be Catholic. Hmm. Interesting. :knight2:

I am not fudging my words. I have answered your question twice (thrice if you count the post I referred you to).

I have never put words in your mouth. You can’t supply with any post numbers that show I did any such thing. As for OJ Simpson, like I told you at the time I did not know who “OK Simpson” was. I thought of the tv show and I thought of the OK Corral, but I didn’t even think about OJ Simpson, until you corrected your spelling.

Where did I “actually ask you to prove that OJ Simpson is a few bricks short of a full load?” I don’t remember asking you this. Where did I ask you this? Can you provide a post number?

I think this is covered by “Thou shalt not lie,” but the vast majority of responses I see in this thread, which estebob’s above quoted response is typical of, makes me think there should be an eleventh commandment that says “Thou shalt not play Monday morning quarterback with conception issues.”

Same original commandment should also cover putting words into other people’s mouths which they are not saying, estebob.
Are you calling estesbob a liar??

You still did not answer my only surviving question for you. Instead, you’ve simply demanded that I show you where to find your own words in this thread. Your credibility is exhausted with me at least until you answer my only surviving question for you, and not by simply claiming once again that you have already provided that answer.

The Church asks you to not support legalized abortion for obvious reasons. Are you claiming one may licitly support legalized abortion?

Ive answered the question over a dozen times. The answer , again, is you cant reconcile being pro-choice with the teachings of the Church.
This is going in circles. The pro abort position seeks to redefine the debate. The problem is you cannot reconcile intentionally killing innocents with Church teaching and that teaching includes the fact that the civil law should never contradict the moral law on such a grave matter.

It has been pointed out by posting sections of the CCC and papal encyclicals, yet nothing will satisfy those who refuse to be convinced.

OK, please ask the question and I will answer it.
