I must interject for a moment at this point. Geocentrism is actually a workable model for the universe, but its mathematics are so complex, well, no one really bothers with it. For that matter, considering anything else to be the center of the universe raises the same problem. When we’re talking about our solar system, we use the mathematical models of heliocentrism, because they are convenient and give us good approximations. When we need estimates of the movement of Jupiter’s moons relative to that planet, we designate Jupiter as motionless relative to its moons.
Let me illustrate this. Imagine two guys are playing table tennis on the roof of a bus heading east at 35 miles per hour. The bus is motionless relative to the tennis ball, and the earth is motionless relative to the bus. This makes it easier to discuss the motion of the tennis ball.
In truth, we have no idea where the center of the universe is. Under our current models, I doubt we can calculate it. By definition, motion requires at least two objects changing position relative to each other. It doesn’t matter which object you choose as a reference point. We generally choose more massive objects for the sake of simplicity. However, because gravity requires two different objects exerting a force on each other, you can come up with a way to work the various equations involved by saying less massive objects exert more force than more massive objects, but the math is easier the other way around. Having gravitational force increase with the larger mass is very convenient.
So yes, you can say the earth is the center of the universe. You can also say the sun is. Heck, you can say Optimus Prime is the center of the universe and workout equations for the motions of all other bodies in the universe. It’s actually quite fun if you have the time to play around with it. I love modern physics, really, it’s awesome.
