If it’s a no-no - why therefore have you brought it up for discussion before the whole world?

Discussing sins before the whole world or putting them on a billboard or whatever is not the same as re-confessing already confessed sins in the sacramental context of Reconciliation. I have thoroughly explained above that to re-confess an already confessed and absolved sin is a misuse of the sacrament and is somewhat disrespectful to God.

I agree with you it would seem rather messy. However having already misused the sacrament of confession once by omitting my sins I would rather proceed with caution.

I think giving the differing opinions taking the OP question to the priest and speaking to him in person would be the best way to proceed.

Of course…

It sort of boggles me that anyone should have a problem speaking to a/the priest
if they have no problem broadcasting said situation with say - total strangers
