I was abused as a child in a care home and since then I lost my faith, now I’m much older and I am really starting to get it all back.
Im Feeling guilty now because after two failed mariages in now in a relationship but not married. My partner dosnt want to marry. Because of this I’m frightened of being rejected by the church.
I also want to introduce my daughter to the church .

The Church will not reject you for past mistakes, however, entering into communion with God does come with its own set of hardships and sacrifices, especially in how you conduct yourself in non-marital relationships. Rest assured though, the Church will not turn you away because of your previous marriages.

Were you baptized?

If so, and assuming that you married outside of the Church, those marriage would be considered invalid due to a lack of form, and you therefore probably would not need to seek an annulment. I can’t say for sure, it’s something you’ll need to talk with your pastor about.

Remember the story of the Prodigal. The loving Father was watching and waiting for his beloved child to return home.

So is the Heavenly Father waiting for you. Run to his loving arms!

Nobody should be abused as a child. I hope you have worked though that in terms of forgiveness and offered your suffering to God. If you moved on from something like that, whatever obstacle may come in front of you will be small in comparison.

I’d recommend reading about Dorothy Day who was also in love with, and had a child with, a man who refused to marry her when she decided to enter the Church.

Do it one step at a time. First things first, call a priest and introduce your daughter to the faith.

Every saint has a past, and every sinner a future. But reversion or conversion will indeed change your life. Some if those changes you will have to make and it will be hard.
