Recovery from Hip Replacement

If you would be so kind, please pray for me in my recovery from hip replacement surgery. I am an old woman, far more prone to complications per my doctors. In fact, they would normally not perform surgery of this kind on someone of my advanced age if I was not otherwise in excellent health.

I have always been described by my family as a “firecracker.” I’ve always been fiercely independent and have continued to remain so despite the fact that some days I can’t recall the year or the names of my grandchildren. I know that my mind is not as sharp as it once was, but I pray that I may be able to maintain my independence for as long as possible and ask for the humility to accept my limitations and the need for assistance if that is in my future.

I am so fortunate in that I have been blessed with the means to afford care of any kind I may need. There are many people of my age who have far fewer choices and are forced to accept whatever care may be afforded. I would also ask you to remember these people in your prayers, as they are no less deserved of quality care than am I.
 
I have always enjoyed the “firecracker” type of personality and pray for your full recovery from hip replacement and your intention to remain independent as long as possible.

Also praying for those with less choices in health care that they may be well taken care of.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal SavannahGal). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into SavannahGal’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Praying hard. I had the surgery 23 years ago and have had no problems. Wish the same for you.
