One of our local Pro-life leaders sent this out to our local homeschooling group and all her prolife groups. If you feel the Lord calling you to do this, please do so and copy and send this email to all your pro-life friends. Maybe, this will make a difference with all the FOCA cards as well. We won’t know until we try. You may have red envelopes from Valentines card you received like I did and just put a white label in the front to over your name and put the presidents name and address.

Here is the email and information:

This afternoon I was praying about a number of things, and my mind began towander. I was deeply distressed at the symbolic actions that President Obama took as he began his presidency. Namely, that he signed executive orders releasing funds to pay for abortions, permission to fund human stem cell research, and federal funding for contraception. I have been involved in the pro-life movement for nearly 20 years, and it pained my heart to see a man and a political party committed to the shedding of innocent blood.

This man, and this party lead our country, but they do not represent me or the 54% of Americans who believe that abortion is wrong and should no longer be legal. As I was praying, I believe that God gave me an interesting idea. Out in the garage I have a box of red envelopes. Like the powerful image of the red LIFE tape, an empty red envelope will send a message to Barack Obama that there is moral outrage in this country over this issue. It will be quiet, but clear. Here is what I would like you to do: Get a red envelope. Address it to:

President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW
Washington , D.C. 20500

On the back of the envelope, write the following message, or something similar.
*This envelope represents a child who died in abortion. It is empty because that life was not given the chance (like you) to offer anything to theworld. Responsibility begins with conception. *

Put it in the mail, and send it. Then forward this email to every one of yourfriends who you think would send one too. I wish we could send 50 million red envelopes, one for every child who died before having a chance to live. Maybe it will change the heart of the president. We should all try to mail them on the same day so they arrive within a day or two of
each other and be even more of a visual at the White House. With Valentine’s Day coming up, red envelopes should be easy to come by too. Say we all mail them on the weekend of Feb 28-March 1st. That gives us almost a week to pass the word as far and wide as we can. Of course, you can send a red envelope anytime you want, but getting lots at once is even more powerful.

Here are various links advising about the event. There are even groups on Facebook. The date to do this seems to be the only discrepancy. I have seen February 28, March 1 and March 31…

Either way, I hope everyone sends out more than one…It would also be my prayer that we send this to our Senators and Representatives. They need to hear our voices even more than the President. Pelosi, Boxer, Feinstein, Kerry, Kennedy…they share great responsibility with this outrage in our country…

Wow, this woman made it seem this was her idea, unless she got all these websites going with this idea too. I don’t know and won’t judge. I just hope it works. I asked a friend to do it and she won’t. She thinks it is hopeless with Obama. She said she will not care and he won’t do anything about abortion, but allow it to happen. She is very discouraged about the elections. She wasn’t to crazy about McCain either, but she voted for the candidate that was pro-life. She was disappointed to see that most Catholics voted for Obama. I think most of us were, but life goes on and we have to fight for the innocent babies. I told her not to give up and to do this, but she came up with one excuse after another, the first was that she didn’t have a red envelope.

Let us all try to do this for the unborn, the innocent lives that need us to protect them.

Thank you! I had not heard this and I really appreciate the idea.🙂 Passing it on to those I know!

“nana”, I have copied the content of your original message… and I’m going to include it in the “FIGHT FOCA” threads which have been going in 3 different forums. We want as MANY people as possible, to see this! :gopray2:

God bless you for sharing this great idea. I’m going to search for a red envelope asap. 👍
