I am a Mormon that is going to convert. Will I have to “re-confess” the sins that I have already confessed as a Mormon?
To add, were you Baptized “In the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit”?Are you baptized? If so, were you baptized in the LDS church?
Be careful in how you phrase the above. Mormons do baptize “In the name of the father, son, and holy spirit”. But they mean something different by it than we do as Christians. The Vatican has ruled LDS baptism invalid. To add, were you Baptized “In the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit”?
If not, you would be admitted to the Church by baptism, which would wash away ALL sins.

Lutherans have valid baptism. It can be almost 100% assured that you are validly baptized. In this case, yes, you would have to confess all your sins that you remember from your entire life. This can be a very long process and is called a “general confession.”The LDS church as a teenager and Lutheran as an infant. I do not know the wording of the Lutheran Baptism.
