Hi all,

I left the Jesuit Noviciate in 1998… because I wasn’t strong enough to answer the God’s call, but since then I ve never stopped thinking God and the not answered call. Today I am 48 and thinking seriously to return to the Jesuit Noviciate.

My questions are:
will they accept me back  ? And if not can I search for another order 😊 ?

thanks in advance

God bless You all

These sorts of questions are best to ask to the Jesuit vocations director .

There are some orders that do accept men that are you age or higher, you just have look around. Talk with your diocese’s vocations director as well .

Good luck! 😃

I don’t know about the Jesuits, but here is my list of orders taking older vocations. If the Jesuits turn you down, given your situation, I highly recommend contacting the Vocationists. (I’m going back for a second visit next weekend myself.)

Just so you know, religious life and diocesan priesthood are two different vocations. Even if the religious life is with a Society of Apostolic Life.

My only thing for you is this. Is what caused you to leave during the Novitiate taken care of? I believe that is one of the first things any vocations director is going to ask you.

Also consider these two congregations. They have maintained the Ignatian spirituality (and soldier-of-Christ attitude) that many modernistic Jesuits of today seem to have lost.

Hi all,

Yes everything is solved ByzCath and I know that the diocesean life is different from the religious life… I am more interested in religious life though.

Thanks all
