As I was arriving to Lent, in the months ahead. One thing that I pondered was why Lent gets to be depressing? And, why so much catastrophes happen and occur? I did not want to go through a Lent like that. Thus, I prayed my Lent did not go that way at all.
But, consider, that Lent is Reflection in the passing time of the Passion. And in as much as the Sorrowful Mysteries in the Holy Rosary. The devil sifted in that time. And thus, he still does and now.
Lent is depressing and sad for the devil. But not for us! The Baptized and faithful!
Christ’s Passion is the dealing and fatal blow to the serpent and head dragon of sin.
Like little children, we should be behind Christ Who is going to battle the bullying Goliath, Satan, Sin, and Death. We should be celebrating as small young children, wherefore He is about to take out a bully, through Death on the Cross.
Lent is a time to Celebrate the final end to sin! It’s punishment! And death!
However, we’re to be prudent. And be gentle as doves.
Carefully as we journey through Lent, the devil loves to sift souls. But take shelter in Christ. Take shelter in Him! In the Blessed Tabernacle and Presence of Christ. Be close to Him! He is our victor. He is going to conquer and defeat Hell, Death, Satan, and Sin from our hearts and souls. To give us new life! Celebrate the Triumph even the Immaculate Heart of Mary in your souls. Because, it was in Her heart Mary Magdalene, the other Mary, and Saint John the Apostle all took refuge during the Passion. Consecrate your hearts to Mary’s That’s the call of Penance.
I have asked one gift this Lent, besides many others. And that is for the Stigmata of Saint Joseph. The Cross and Crucifix he suffered in his own heart. I pray for mine to. That other may avail in the same way through the Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, both Blessed Virgin, Mother and Queen of God.
it’s a Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary we should be celebrating this Lent. Because those band of faithful, who followed Her to the Cross, saw this in the same way.
Remember, when Mary and Joseph took Jesus to the old man Simeon? Did he not say to Mary that a sword would pierce Her heart? Saint Joseph heard that. In fact, everything Mary went through, Saint Joseph also suffered. He shared in the Passion in this way. For whatever Mary knew, Saint Joseph was told. This is the hidden Sanctuary of Saint Joseph’s heart with the Immaculate Conception, Our Lady. He shared in the purification of Mary’s Immaculate Heart as well. The Communion of the Holy Family.
I love the story in Fatima! When Sister Lucia saw as a child, Our Lady stood aside October 13 1917, watched as Saint Joseph held Jesus, and they made the sign of the Cross. Our Lady whom many would see Jesus with in many Icons and Imagery. This time, She smiled as Her Son was in the arms of Saint Joseph.
