Well, it has been a pretty busy few days, very busy the last couple in terms of posting. Permit me to muse a bit…

While some were a pleasure to have a discussion with, some were not, having nothing to offer but personal attacks and no logic or substance. Others tried to defend their position but couldnt seem to pull it off. I myself will admit to not being charitable on occassion, which is not Christian, and for that I apologize.

It was a trick to keep such conversations going on multiple threads, but it was informative for me. Some of you are truly a credit to your faith, others, well…For those who couldnt even enter into dialog without the “our way or the highway” approach, what can I say? I will pray for you.

I guess I also need to apologize if I came across to belittle the Catholic faith. Maybe I even tried to to a degree. Again, not very Christian of me.

As I reflected on what I read here, and the attitudes of some, I have come to the following conclusions, among others:
  • I am happy and at peace with my decision to leave the RCC. That being said, I am also happy for those who feel at home in it. what originally started out as an attempt to dialog ending with my trying to prove you guys wrong ( and in some cases I may have…sorry, had to say it…). Again, not Christian of me. I apologize. Never was it intended to belittle, yet I am guilty of it. I apologize.
  • The RCC has much to be proud of in its history, though also much to NOT be proud of. That being said, I will not take the approach of wanting to deride the RCC (though is sure came to that at times it seems, my error).
  • In the end, it is more important to look at what is in common than what is not. I would like to think that at the end of the day, we are all one in Christ anyway. Discussion is good, how I went about it at times, maybe not so good.
I do sincerely wish all of you, even those most nasty, all the best and much blessing in Jesus Christ our Lord.

And now, for the time being, I take my leave from you all. What we need here is more cowbell!!! ( for those who remember the reference)

It’s obvious no one glued your butt to the pew - have fun on the highway - other than your opinion I am not sure what you proved ( had to say that),

Next time please Ex- in your profile

don’t take any wooden nickles

Bye Coach

I pray for you and wish you well. Drop me a line if you have any questions.

Peace
