It is logical from a secular and a religious standpoint to refute gay marriage.

From a secular standpoint, it does not make sense that homosexuals redefine marriage when they already have legal benefits from civil unions.

From a religious standpoint, it does not make sense at all because Divine Revelation explicitly forbids it. Why? It goes against the Natural Law of God.

The secular debate on this issue will never win on its own because humans standards are imperfect. Therefore, a purely secular debate will always be relative.

However, the standards of God is absolute and always supreme to human standards. If God is in the equation, then we follow a rule of law that is greater than human standards.

In the end, the homosexual movement to redefine marriage is an act of extreme separation of Church and State. It is a move to legitimize what was widely accepted as immoral by God’s standards.

A purely secular debate in the end fails, and will point to the necessity of referring to God’s standards and not mans.

This will lead to greater persecution of the Church, because it is the ultimate obstacle of the redefinition of marriage.

They seek to elimate God to become their own Gods.

Many species of animals also eat their offspring. I can’t wait for cannibalism-rights groups to argue that if filial cannibalism occurs in animals, it is natural, and therefore the rights of cannibals should be protected.
However, you have failed to point our WHY they eat their young. According to your fellow prop 8 supporter, animals are basically mindless being who do what they have to do. If you’re a tiger who wants to confess your love for someone but a drought or whatever happens, it’s survival of the fittest. Get your soccer teams out here.

My neighbor had a cat who killed and ate her kittens because she felt they were threatened by their children who always tried to get near the baby kittens. She would rather have them die at her own hands than taken away or harmed.

This is not true. I am a nurse in the intensive care unit, and we allow friends and family to visit loved ones regardless of sexual orientation during their moments or stages of dying.
State and hospital regulations may vary.
