Refutation

Muslims use Jesus to convert Christians by saying he was a great man but not the Son of God. It’s an underhanded conversion tactic. Beware of people who try to redefine Christ and Christianity, they are false teachers.

I recently asked these questions on Yahoo answers. I was in a state of turmoil at the time after reading a debate where a catholic got smacked around by a group of muslims.

I am no longer in doubt and would like to know how to refute their points.

There are a couple of Muslim threads now active but CAF has a lot of resources that you can read through to help you. I’d start by reading some of the Tracts and Magazine articles.

catholic.com/search/content/muslim

Jesus fulfills the OT scriptures and 11 out of 12 apostles were martyred (then many more in the early Church) believing Christ was the Son of God and that he was raised from the dead. This is proof enough for me. And scripture warns us that others will be coming with a false gospel.

[BIBLEDRB]Galatians 1:8[/BIBLEDRB]

The evil one is at work here, trying to lead the flock away from the Truth.

How do we show them that the apostles did believe that Jesus was the son of God? Are there any old writings telling us so?

Don’t let those people on Y!A get to you. The muslims who posted answers on your inquiry’s did not address it.

I laughed when one poster wrote that Jesus language was Aramaic but the Gospels were written in Greek and that was the 1st problem, therefore the book is false.

Little does this poster know that the spoken language of the land was GREEK. Aramaic was also spoken but mainly it was Greek. Jesus also spoke Hebrew because he was reading Isiah from the Torah.

The majority of the muslim posters on there are kids with very little knowledge of Christianity.

They all use a site called answering christianity dot com. If you review that site, it’s filled with mis-information about Christianity.

And if muslims don’t answer your questions, the Atheists will jump right in with their hatred.

Anyway, also to let you know…

I saw those questions yesterday on Y!A R&S. 😃

I’m there to defend and speak about Christianity and hang out on R&S and also in Ramadan where the muslims hang! 😛

Yes Y!A always seemed like a poor place to answer questions. Most people there, including myself at times, dont know what they are talking about. Did you answer them? I saw one christian answer but his answer was more of an attack on Islam, though he did talk on the gospels beauty. Was that you?

I did answer one of them, but decided not to click submit.

I wrote something like this:

Christian, do not be fooled by the Quran and Mohamad.

Do not deny Jesus.

You do not need to look into Islam to find Jesus. He is not there.

Their Isa is NOT our Lord, Jesus Christ.

And then I proceeded to write…

I invite you and all and post your question on our site.

Post your question right here right now and change your title to Refutation - Islam - Jesus - Muslims.

Let’s see where it goes.

We do have muslim posters on here who are not kids and they are knowledgeable.

Plus, they’ve been on here for many years and they also know something about Christianity.

All my best,

I had just read an old debate between 2 Muslims and a catholic. The catholic lost. Badly. I thought about Islam for a while and decided that was the biggest hole in their beliefs. So I asked on YA since thats the only forum I know where I can get large groups of Muslims to reply. In the end I found a companion to the debate on CA which debunked the Muslims claims.
