Jesus implemented the ritual of Consecration, He didn’t get rid of all rituals. We have the rituals followed for the Sacraments. What some practice to fulfill the law of God, may not in fact be fulfilling the law, or the real spirit of the law, but the letter of the law. Jesus Himself instituted the Sacraments so there is no question as to their validity, and their Spirit.

It boils down to this, the Catholic Church is a sacramental church whereas Baptists denominations like many protestant denominations are non-sacramental churches. Its like comparing saltwater ecology to freshwater, both look similar but both are quite different. We believe that God uses Sacraments to allow us to participate in His spiritual graces by physical means, and the Lord has established heirarchy in the Church, as you can easily see in the New Testament, and priests are a part of the hierarchy. The apostolic Fathers are written proof that the Church operated as a sacramental church and operated with levels of heirarchy.
